MACOMB, IL — The Western Illinois University Department of Health Sciences and Social Work is co-sponsoring a social work career panel 6-8 p.m. Monday, March 21 in the University Union Grand Ballroom. Panelists will include social work professionals, including a few WIU alumni.

Panelists include:

  • Jamie Draughan (graduated from WIU in 2009), BSW, MSW – Hospice
  • Misty Malda (graduated from WIU in 2012), BSW – Child Welfare
  • Christy Beck (graduated from WIU in 1999), BSW, MSW – Medical Social Work
  • Amanda Davis (graduated from WIU in 2006, 2011, 2012), BSW – Macro Social Work
  • Brenda McAlister, MSW, LCSW – School Social Work
  • Jessica Hamilton, MSW, LCSW – Military Social Work
  • Cara Cerulo, MSW, LCSW & Sonja Schnidt, MSW, LCSW – Addictions

The event is open free to the public; attire is business casual.

The event is co-sponsored by: the Social Work Student Association, Phi Alpha Honor Society for Social Work, Social Work Student Representatives and the National Association of Social Workers Student Liaison.
