Workman Named Employee of the Month

MACOMB, IL -- The Civil Service Employees Council (CSEC) at Western Illinois University is pleased to announce Dana Workman of the RegistrarÂ’s Office has been selected as the December Civil Service Employee of the Month.

Workman was acknowledged by her nominators for taking on extra duties associated with the enrollment verification department by covering for another employee who was out for several weeks. The duties she took over included learning a new computerized system, along with her regular daily tasks of answering the switchboard, distributing mail and handling walk-in traffic. Despite the added workload, Workman continued to do “an exceptional job of her main duties.” In addition, she shares her decorating talents by assisting with the arrangements of the commencement stage decorations, and organizes office get-togethers, designs office gift baskets and creates holiday decorations. Workman started as a clerk in the Registrar’s Office in Feburary 2001.

“We applaud Dana for going above and beyond the call of duty,” said Paula Stull, CSEC public relations officer. “We appreciate the job she does and her commitment to the University.”
