MACOMB, IL – Patty Mason, admissions/records supervisor in the admissions office at Western Illinois University, has been named the WIU December Civil Service Employee of the Month.

According to her nominators, Mason is friendly to everyone she assists, including students, their family members, and employees. "She always has a positive, caring attitude. She is very committed to her job and to the students coming to Western."

"Her dedication allows the students to receive valuable information from someone who is willing to reach out to them. It is obvious that Patty cares about the University and sees the 'big picture,'" her nominators added. "She believes that going above and beyond what is asked of her is a tool for her students. She thoroughly understands that the students come first and that we are here for them."
