Murray St. Closure Extended

MACOMB, IL – The closure of West Murray Street (C.T. Vivian Way) on the Western Illinois University campus has been extended through 5 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 23. Public vehicle access is restricted Monday-Friday, from 8 a.m.-5 p.m., to ensure the safety of pedestrian traffic while an alternate route is created to further enhance accessibility from the northwest quadrant of campus to the Multicultural Center and Mowbray Hall (Office of Public Safety) during the University Union south entrance construction.

Access to the Multicultural Center and to the Office of Public Safety (Mowbray Hall) is also available from Sherman Drive, directly east of Mowbray. ADA compliant parking spaces are available in the lot east of Mowbray and there is sidewalk access to Mowbray and the Multicultural Center from the east lot.
