Alum, Milwaukee Bucks Sales Manager, to Deliver Lecture Oct. 15

MACOMB, IL -- Western Illinois University alumnus Steve Tarachow will present "Doing Anything and Everything to Keep the Pipeline Filled with Fans Attending Games… Creating Sales and Promotional Strategies That Work," at 10 a.m., Friday, Oct. 15 in Horrabin Hall, room 1, on the WIU-Macomb campus.

Tarachow earned his M.S. in sport management from Western in 1989. He is currently sales manager, groups and promotions, for the Milwaukee Bucks Basketball Club, a position he has held since 2002. According to Tarachow, he has worked for the Bucks' front office since 1992.

"My mission is to drive ticket sales across all market segments," Tarachow said. "The Bucks' group sales department consistently has been among the National Basketball Association (NBA) leaders in group ticket sales and program development."

Tarachow earned his bachelor's degree in prelaw at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee in 1984.

Tarachow's presentation is sponsored by the Visiting Lectures committee, the kinesiology department and the Sport Management Club at Western.
