Advice for Freshmen: Do not fret too much about defining your major at this stage in your education. Show up, do the work and keep your mind open about your potential and possibilities.

Favorite WIU Memory: My favorite memory is the happy, day-to-day camaraderie with young men and women who would become lifelong friends. The small things are as memorable as the big events.

Family Information/Special Interests and Hobbies: My wife, Mary, and I have been married 44 years. We have two married, adult daughters and six grandchildren. I remain active in retirement with church activities, regular visits to the gym, photography and being part of a rock-and-roll band.
