Illinois National Guard Grant (ING)

Members of the Illinois National Guard may be eligible to receive the Illinois National Guard (ING) Grant. This grant may pay for eligible tuition costs and certain fees for undergraduate or graduate study. The ING grant can be used for a maximum of the equivalent of four academic years of full-time enrollment. For additional eligibility criteria, or to apply for the Illinois National Guard Grant go to https://www.isac.org/students/during-college/applying-for-financial-aid/applications/ing_applying/index.html. This program is coordinated by the Financial Aid Office.

The Illinois National Guard Grant (ING) covers full tuition and only certain fees.  Specifically, the ING grant covers the Activity Fee and the Fine Arts Activity Fee. All other fees charged per credit hour are not covered by the ING grant.

The other fees can be covered by:

The Illinois MAP Grant (if you qualify),

The Federal Pell Grant (if you qualify)

or Federal Student Loans (if you file a FAFSA and accept federal loans).
