Morris Named COAA Advisor of the Month

MACOMB, IL - - The Western Illinois University Council of Academic Advisors (COAA) has named Kelly Morris the February Advisor of the Month.

Morris, an academic advisor in the advising and academic services center, was nominated by one of her students, Scott Salvatore, a freshman athletic training major from Lemont, IL.

"When I first started at Western, Kelly took the time to ask a lot of questions and get to know me before we made any decisions," Salvatore said. "She always goes above and beyond to assist me. I missed an event for incoming freshman, and Kelly personally dropped off the information packets off to me on her way home from work."

The purpose of COAA is to promote the quality of academic advising at Western Illinois University.
