Tribal School Student Teaching Initiative

The College of Education & Human Services  and the Office of Study Abroad and Outreach have collaborated together to offer this exciting and unique initiative. Education students will have the opportunity to complete their student teaching at 3 Wisconsin tribal schools. Both Elementary and Secondary Education Students from all content areas can participate in this program. Scholarships are available to cover the expense of housing for the program.

The program is available to two students over the course of 16 weeks during the spring semester. Students will be housed either with a host family or in housing near the campus of the school. The format of the program will be 4 weeks at one facility, 4 weeks at another, and then the last 8 weeks will be at the school with the level of teaching that is appropriate for each student teacher to earn their license.
