Next Deadline: 11:59 pm on April 10, 2025 (Thursday)
Each spring semester, the Office of Sponsored Projects sponsors the University Research Council grant competition. Seed grants of up to $5,000 are awarded to tenure-track faculty on a competitive basis.
The URC Grant aims to provide seed funding for the initiation of innovative research and scholarly projects in various fields. The primary focus is to support projects that have the potential to secure external funding, result in peer-reviewed publications, or culminate in public exhibitions or performances. The program particularly emphasizes aiding new faculty in launching their research endeavors. Only proposals adhering to these criteria will be considered for funding.
Proposals must result in external funding, publication in peer-refereed journals, or exhibitions and performances. Some emphasis will be given to assisting new faculty in beginning their research activities. Only those applications that adhere to these guidelines will be evaluated by the committee.
