Disruption Resolution - QC Power Outage (3:24pm)

Power to the QC campus has been restored by Midamercian Energy. Thank you for your patience during this outage. All services should now be functioning normally. If you continue to see issues please contact the support center at 309.298.8324 (208-TECH).

Disruption Notice - QC Power Outage (1:58pm)

uTech has become aware of issues related to a campus-wide power outage on the Quad Cities Campus. Students, faculty, and staff needing remote access (remote desktop, etc) to on-campus Quad City systems will be unable to do so until the power company restores power.

  • Date/Time: 4/7/2021 -12:30 pm.
  • Impact: People attempting to remotely access systems on the QC campus.

This morining's incident of Windows computers being unable to run certain installed programs has been resolved. . "University Technology is aware that some users of WIU-owned Windows computers may be experiencing problems running installed programs today (Friday, March 12). Individuals may see a notice regarding applications being "blocked by system administrator". If you notice this error, please reboot your computer and the problem should be resolved after you log back in.

Disruption Resolution - Disruption Notice: P and S drive slowness at WIU-QC (3:08pm)

We have completed a temporary work around to address the P and S drive slowness being seen in the QC. We will evaluate a permanent solution during upcoming maintenance windows to reduce any impacts to end users. Thank you for your patience and understanding.
