Disruption Resolution - Web Services Issue Resolved (9:24pm)

The web services issue has been resolved.

  • Date/Time: December 22 - 9:21 p.m.
  • Impact: Users were unable to access various technology web applications. These services are now available.

Disruption Notice - Web Services Down (7:30pm)

We are aware of an issue impacting several WIU web services. Depending on your browser, multiple webpages may be presenting a Privacy error or otherwise show unavailable. Some of these may be worked around by accepting privacy warnings or entering exceptions into your browser. University Technology is aware of the issue and is working to remedy the situation.

Other services that depend on hosting by Amazon Web Services may also be affected, including (but not limited to) Respondus and other components of WesternOnline.

Disruption Update - WesternOnline issues (AWS related) (3:35pm)

The outage affecting WesternOnline is due to an ongoing service disruption with Amazon Web Services (AWS). We have also been made aware this is affecting Respondus services on campus. See https://status.aws.amazon.com/ for a current status of this disruption.

  • Impact: Disruption of various Internet services including WesternOnline and Respondus

We are experiencing slow response times for STARS, WIUP and TSO due to high usage and a possible system issue. Our technicians are aware of the issue and they are looking into a resolution.
